Ruya Creative Learning 

Ruya Creative Learning offers individualized learning experiences that combine language, creativity and adapted teaching methods. The program supports diverse learners, including students with visual impairment, through flexible and multi-sensory approaches to learning.

Training and Workshops

Ruya Academy offers training programs and workshops designed to strengthen knowledge and practical skills in inclusive education, visual impairment and deafblindness support. These programs include braille literacy courses and professional development sessions for educators, parents and organisations.

About the Founder

Rukaiya Sabuwala is an RCI-licensed Special Educator and the founder of Ruya Academy and Arts and the Ruya Mentorship Program for individuals with vision impairment. She holds a Master’s degree in Special Education, is a certified art-based therapist, and has completed a Diploma in Educational Leadership from the Perkins School for the Blind (USA). She also holds an Advanced Diploma in Arabic.

Rukaiya trains educators and supports families of learners with diverse needs, especially those with visual impairment and deafblindness. Her work focuses on developing literacy, communication, and functional life skills using evidence-based practices and ongoing research.

She also conducts art-based therapy sessions that support self-expression, emotional well-being, and mental health. Rukaiya believes in art as a meaningful tool for learning and expression, while always keeping the individual needs of each learner at the center of her work.
